Can AirPods connect to Android? How to pair the headphones with non-apple devices.
View Date:2024-12-23 20:56:21
Wireless headphones can make listening and talking on your device more enjoyable without the hassle of tangled wires. Apple's AirPods are one of the many Bluetooth wireless earbuds on the market.
First announced in 2016, there are now several versions of the earbuds: AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max.
While these headphones were made to be used with Apple devices, you may wonder, "Do they work with any other devices?" There are so many brands out there so, before you buy a new Apple product, read on to learn about AirPods' Bluetooth compatibility with other devices.
Do AirPods work with Android?
Short answer: Yes, AirPods do work with an Android. AirPods are compatible with any Bluetooth device.
However, there will be differences in features when using AirPods with a non-Apple device.
You can use your AirPods to talk and listen on other Bluetooth devices but you cannot use Siri, according to Apple. Other AirPod features will not work when using a non-Apple device, such as ear detection or double-tap function.
If you remove your AirPods from your ear while listening on a non-Apple device, the music will not pause like it normally does. The AirPod double-tap shortcut that allows wearers to skip, pause or start audio does not work when paired with non-Apple devices.
